Day #67: Give a Book by Reading a Book

Day #67: Give a Book by Reading a Book 1

Our family recently discovered WeGiveBooks.com.

We Give Books is an amazing resource for families of young children. It's like an entire children's section of a library on my computer. For free! Today, Stephanie and I traded off reading handfuls of books to the girls from this website.

Day #67: Give a Book by Reading a Book 2

In addition to being a totally free online library, the We Give Books initiative gives a children's book to a charity every time a campaign book is read.

Here is the rundown of how it works:

We Give Books is a free website that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don't have them, simply by reading online. Simply choose the charity you want to read for and then select the books you want to read. For each book you read online, we donate a book to a leading literacy group on your behalf. The more you read, the more we give.

Do you and your kids read on We Give Books?

Our family spent 2011 traveling the USA in an RV, striving to intentionally "give every day" for the glory of God. We interviewed CEOs of nonprofits and served alongside over 40 organizations and churches.
