Day #41: Give a Family Portrait

Day #41: Give a Family Portrait 1

Today we met one of our readers who lives in the Orlando area for lunch. A family eating at a nearby table asked me if I would take their picture. They had a camera, but needed someone else to capture the moment.

I gladly took a couple of shots of their family and handed back the camera.

Taking their picture reminded me of the many times when my own family has gone somewhere special, but were unable to get pictures of all of us together.

I am going to be even more intentional about asking people I see taking pictures of their family if I can snap some shots of all of them together.

How about you? Has anyone ever offered to take your family's photo?

  1. I have wished for this so many times! The best we've ever done is getting the in-laws to take our family photo. Thanks for the idea to start offering!

  2. We've had a few people do this for us on occasion - it's always a much appreciated gift and I try to offer it to others as well.

  3. We saw a fun family in the Badlands trying to take a pic with everyone on a different rock/level & wanted to do it too. So we took pics for each other. Fun & easy!

Our family spent 2011 traveling the USA in an RV, striving to intentionally "give every day" for the glory of God. We interviewed CEOs of nonprofits and served alongside over 40 organizations and churches.

- To observe the needs in our country/community – and then do something about them.
- To give – every day.
