the adventure continues in Vail, AZ

This past month we sold our fifth wheel RV and moved back into our house in Vail, AZ. Our 20,000 miles around the country taught us a lot of things - one of which is gratitude. The more miles we put on, the more we appreciated the beautiful sunshine of southern AZ and the familiarity of friendship. Moving back into a house has given us peace as we look forward to the arrival of our third little … [Read more...]

Selling The RV

Traveling fulltime forces a person to experience an unprecedented amount of change. "Consistent," "regular," and "predictable" are a few words that were absent from our vocabulary this year. We've know an evolving lifestyle that has changed who we are. Change is a positive thing. It provides new perspective and increased potential, but today we long to once again be settled. To live in the same … [Read more...]

An Update From Montana

To date (since we left Tucson in February), we have driven about 17,000 miles. Here is a quick recap of some of the things we have done together as a family. Please continue thinking of us and praying for us as we travel, learn, and strive to stay true to our pledge. Leave a comment below if … [Read more...]

East Coast Route for April – May – June

Mapping our route isn't as easy as it might seem. We have specific organizations we want to volunteer with, we have friends we would love to see, we have cost figures to consider, and we have campgrounds to reserve. That said, here is our tentative schedule for the next 3 months: April 1-10 Woodbine, GA April 10-11 Savannah, GA April 11-12 Macon, GA April 12-13 Hixson, TN April 13-21 … [Read more...]

On The Map: February & March 2011

"Have you mapped your entire route and planned all of your projects for the whole year?" We always laugh on the inside and smile politely on the outside when we get that question. Logistically, it would be a nightmare to plan that far into the future...for us AND for partnering organizations. That said, we're not just driving aimlessly into the night either (actually, we try not to drive at … [Read more...]
