Today, we met with the executive director of Jubilee Ministries in Lebanon and toured their massive 3-story 70,000 sqft used clothing store. I felt like we were visiting a JCPenny's instead of a thrift store. Over the last few months, we have met with numerous executive directors and CEOs, plus volunteered and toured over 50 different non-profit organizations. Our family made a lengthy drive today to Sparta, NJ to visit the dentist. The tooth canal for one of my front teeth broke on day #13 and I ended up needing a dental implant. Today, the four of us went to a children's dinner theater in Fredericksburg and watched the musical Doctor Doolittle. We were given bagged lunches with hot chicken nuggets and had our own private table. The girls were fascinated by the actors and their costumes. It was a great family experience. We left Richmond today and are now camping in Fredericksburg. Last night, Stephanie and Kayla went to a clothes swap that a friend in Richmond organized. They took a few clothing items with them and came home with more than they left with. Everyone at the clothes swap brought clothes from their families that they no longer needed. There is a cafe in Richmond called Positive Vibe that trains and employes people with disabilities. They are a non-profit restaurant and food services program. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also has a beer and wine menu.
