Campground Sponsor: KOA Campground Kissimmee/Orlando 7This past week we stayed at the KOA in Kissimmee, FL. Just off the freeway, the campground is strategically located only a short drive from most of the “big-name” Orlando attractions (Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Etc.).

We have stayed at quite a few campgrounds now, but this KOA wins the award for the “longest” campsites. Our RV pad was well over 100′ long. We even had two optional locations for hookups, a personal fire pit, and a picnic table. All of the park’s pads were level and paved.

The resort amenities were also plentiful (showers, laundry, pool/spa area, play ground, clubhouse, and dog park), well-maintained, and super clean. Another bonus: grocery stores and fuel stations were just seconds away.

I enjoyed soaking in the spa a few evenings after dark when the girls were sleeping.

If you are planning a trip to the area, KOA Kissimmee is sure to offer everything you need and more.

  1. We’ve stayed at several KOA campgrounds – it’s always been a pleasurable place to stay! Add to that the affordability of the KOA campgrounds and you’ve got a combination that can’t be beat! One of the KOA’s we like to stay at has cabins – since we don’t have an RV it’s nice to be able to stay in a cabin rather than a tent!
